Right now I am sitting on my awesome blue sofa, updating my blog. In the kitchen there is a large plate of cookies that my roommate baked. I keep thinking about them but I don't feel like getting up off of the sofa to go and getting one. Eventually my love of cookies will overtake my love of the sofa and I will be in the kitchen eating a warm cookie, fresh from the oven. Until then I will be sitting of my plush, dark blue couch, slowly sinking into its depths. The longer I sit here the harder it will be to get up and go into the kitchen to get my cookie. Eventually it must happen. Here is the picture for my post today:

In case you missed reading my blog this past week or so, you can finally be at peace, because I am posting another blog post. That is correct, this paragraph that you are reading right now is blog post #10. Perhaps the thought came into your head, and you asked yourself, "why am I reading this?" I don't know why you are reading it, so don't ask me. Probably you had nothing better to do, so you decided to read whatever I decided to write about. Probably I won't end up writing about anything in particular. Here is the picture for this blog post:

I'm sitting at my parent's house getting ready to make some French toast for breakfast. I just got back from my grandparent's place where I fed the horse, took the two dogs for a walk and did some irrigation in the pasture. There is one sheep there that follows me everywhere pretending it is dying of starvation. I know it is not because it does not look skinny and if it was really that starving, it would not have the energy to run after me for an hour. Silly sheep can't fool me. This is a picture of the egg that I am going to use to make my French toast:
As you can see it is a brown egg. If you look close enough you might be able to see that it also has some speckles on it too. Obviously it came from a brown chicken and obviously it must be better for you. Everyone knows that brown foods are better for you. Like brown rice, whole wheat bread, brown chocolate, and of course brown eggs. The brown coloring adds extra vitamins that the brown chicken adds. Its time to go and eat my French toast, which will also be brown with brown syrup.Thursday, August 18, 2011
post #8
This is my 8th blog post. That means I have kept this up for over a week. I am patting myself on the back right now. This morning I woke up really early to ride to school with my roommate. It was an exciting trip. Aside from navigating the early morning school traffic of parents taking their children to school and people going to work, we almost had a collision because I was trying to pedal my bicycle with only one foot. It is not a very efficient way to ride and I was so preoccupied with looking at my foot I wasn't watching where I was going. Thankfully we are both still alive. Not only am I still alive I would like to think that I have come out of this incident a smarter and wiser person from the experience that I have gained from my close call with the pavement. Next time I will look where I am going instead of at my foot. Even though we did not actually collide with one another thanks to my quick reflexes, I hope to not come that close to another moving bicycle again. It caused unwanted palpitations of my heart and a quickness of breath that was unpleasant. Here is a picture of the view out of the back door of my apartment:
If you look closely and use a great deal of imagination, you can see the wonders that lie in our backyard. There are several tomato plants, a rosemary plant and a lemon balm plant that is almost entirely eaten by some unknown creature. There is also a white overturned bucket and a garden hose. We use the hose to water the plants. The bucket doesn't do anything. It just sits there and sometimes I move it if it is in the way, but usually if it is in the way I just walk around it. Its a lot easier that way.

I just got back from a late night frozen yogurt outing with my friends. It was delicious. The first few times that I went to eat frozen yogurt I got so excited about all the toppings that I put some of everything on my yogurt. This does not taste very well. I have since learned to restrain myself when it comes to putting toppings on my frozen yogurt and tonight I only put some almonds and chocolate on top. I have learned that when it comes to frozen yogurt toppings, less is almost always better. I tried to take a picture of my frozen yogurt but we were eating outside and it was dark and my the picture turned out to be a square of blackness. No frozen yogurt was visible. I know it was there, you just couldn't see it. So instead I am posting this picture of the salt shaker.
I
It is a nice compliment to the picture of the pepper shaker that I posted earlier. I often put both salt and pepper on my food. Most often I just put pepper. I am a big fan of pepper. I think its a mighty tasty seasoning. I find it ironic that the salt portrait was taken on top of my bible, considering the abundance of salt references found in the bible. That was not intended when I took the picture. I generally do not put much thought into the pictures that I take. I mainly get my inspiration from whatever happens to be right next to me. In this case, the salt shaker and my bible. You could say that I am lazy and don't like to take the time to look around for something good to photograph for my blog. I just like to say that I am inspired by my ordinary and everyday surroundings. It sounds better. Right now I am listening to the third movement of Brahms' third symphony. It is one of my favorite pieces of music and I have listened to it three times so far in the past twenty minutes. It is probably the best part of my day.

I just finished folding my laundry. It has been sitting in a large pile in my room for quite a few days now and I finally got around to folding it and putting it away. I think that is enough work to make my day qualify as being productive. I also practiced my horn for about 4 hours. It was pretty exciting. I played some scales, long tones, lip trills, etc. That was probably the most interesting part of my day. Besides practicing horn I also taught a violin/piano lesson and rode my bike around Sacramento a lot. Right now I am drinking a large glass o orange juice. It is delicious. Here is a picture of it:
As you can see, there is very little orange juice left in the glass. That is because I just drank most of it. Directly behind my glass of juice you can see my bible. It adds a religious flair to my glass of orange juice. I do not think orange juice is mentioned anywhere in the bible, but I am sure that if Jesus tried some, he would like it a lot. Who doesn't like orange juice? Who knows, he might have even had some at the last supper. One can only contemplate how religion would be different if there had been orange juice in the bible. Instead of drinking grape juice at communion, we could be having orange juice. Behind my bible you can see the faded but still smiling face of Pavaratti. He likes orange juice too.

This is my fifth blog post. That is why I titled it post #5. I almost forgot to write a blog post today, but fortunately I remembered to before I snuggled into my luxurious bed for a good nights sleep. I shudder to think of the many and serious consequences that would have befallen me if I had forgotten to write in my blog for the day. Too many to even know. Today I slept in really late. Normally this might have bothered my conscience, but I justified my excessive sleeping with the fact that today is the Sabbath, a day a rest. After my breakfast and shower I rode my bike to church. After church I practiced my horn and then came home and ate a tasty tuna sandwich. Then I went back to school and practiced some more, and then after spending some quality time with my chums I returned home, where I am right now. I am at my kitchen table right now, updating my blog on Kate's laptop. Next to me is a bar of dark chocolate. I have to continually eat from it because I keep forgetting how is tastes. It is delicious. On the other side of the chocolate bar, Kate is sitting and painting her nails. I think she is painting them with nail polish. Across from her Loraly is sitting and looking at her phone. She is especially sad because no one is sending her pictures of themselves. Pavaratti is sitting at the table too. He is smiling. Here is my picture for today. It is a picture of my chocolate bar. It s a 86% cacao.
Like most of my pictures I took this one with my samsung flip phone. The blurry aspect of the photo is not because the chocolate is moving. It is not moving at all. My hand was shaking while I was taking the picture because I was so excited about the chocolate. It is for this reason that I will probably never become a professional photographer of chocolate.

This morning I awoke at an unseemly hour and after having some bran flakes and soy milk for breakfast I went to a run in East sac with my roommates Kate and Sara. We rode our bikes there. I felt a bit isolated on the trip there because I did not have a bell on my bike. While Sara and Kate were communicating with one another via bicycle bell dings, I was left in seclusion. When we got to the race, it had already started. Sara ran off in the general direction and caught up with the other people racing, while Kate and I headed out on a leisurely walk in what we thought was the right direction, but then turned around and went to a playground. It was AMAZING! There were swings, slides and poles to climb on. It was the best part of my day. It was pretty fun, but not as exciting as my thrilling horse ride of last night.
My blog post wouldn't be complete without a picture. Here is a picture of a pepper shaker that is on my table. Sometimes I use it to put pepper on my food.

I have been doing extensive research on blogs, and what people write about in them. Most people seem to like to write about their children and post cute pictures of them in their blog. Since I do not have any children, I will write about my bike instead. I have a bike. It is a blue 5 speed Peugeot from the 70's. Here is a picture of it.

I have been very busy all day thinking about what I should write about in my blog today. In fact it has taken up most of my day. Because I spent so much time thinking about what to write about I didn't actually do anything worth writing about. I also spent some time practicing my horn and eating. Not at the same time. I have been told by blogging experts that the key to a good blog is lots of pictures. People like that kind of stuff. That is why I am including a picture of this glass of water.

This is the first blog post that I have so far. I'm going to try and make it really interesting and maybe put some pictures on it. First the interesting things. I ate some ice cream just now. It was tasty. Now for the picture. Here is the picture.
You might have thought that I was going to post a picture of some ice cream since I that is all I wrote about. However, I already ate the ice cream, so I can't take a picture of it since it is gone. Instead I just took a picture of some papers on the desk. They are very close to where the ice cream once was, so if you are a person who is good at imagining things and you have a lot of free time, you could imagine the bowl of ice cream sitting on top of the random pile of papers on the desk. Perhaps you are too busy admiring my skills with the camera to do any imagining of ice cream. That is ok too, and perfectly understandable. I have to go eat some more ice cream so I will have something to write about tomorrow.
